The Carnival of Brazil is the biggest popular party in the world according to the Guinness Book.  Carnival is a festival that originated in Greece in the mid-600 to 520 BC. 
Through this festival the Greeks held their services in thanks to the gods for the fertility of the soil.

In the Middle Ages, Carnival was all about pure satire for the powerful. The revelers protected themselves from possible retaliation with the excuse that the party drove them crazy (“revelry”, in French, means madness).

Brazil Carnival is celebrated on the streets for 5 days where three of them are holidays all over the country. People dress in beautiful costumes, dance samba, frevo and other rhythms. 
They are moments of great joy and relaxation.

This year the Carnival started on friday and will end on February 26th.

In Second Life there are designers who create wonderful costumes for this great event and one of them is Brianna Passiflora who owns the Brii Underground brand.

O Carnaval do Brasil é a maior festa popular do mundo de acordo com o livro dos recordes, o Guinness Book.
O Carnaval é uma festa que se originou na Grécia em meados dos anos 600 a 520 a.C. e através dessa festa os gregos realizavam seus cultos em agradecimento aos deuses pela fertilidade do solo.

Na Idade Média o Carnaval se resumia à pura sátira aos poderosos. Os foliões se protegiam de possíveis retaliações com a desculpa de que a festa os deixava loucos (“folia”, em francês, significa loucura).

No Brasil, o Carnaval é comemorado nas ruas durante 5 dias onde três deles são feriados em todo país. As pessoas vestem-se com belas fantasias, dançam samba, frevo e outros ritmos.  
São momentos de muita alegria e descontração.
